Negotiated Photoshoot

So the last costume I made for level 5 was a female 1880s for the character of Celeste 2 from Sunday in the Park with George

I think the above image is gorgeous, I couldn’t have asked for a nicer shot. What follows however:

I’ve been told that this was probably altered to look like it was photographed using film. Now firstly, why did he not just use film? Secondly, why is there not the original as well so we can pick which one we want? And thirdly, this is supposed to go in my portfolio, but it is just going to look ridiculous next to the first image, not to mention suggest that I picked totally the wrong colours compared to my design!
